On June 9, 2026, Daniel R. Antonelli, Managing Partner of Antonelli & Antonelli, was formally inducted as President of the Brooklyn Bar Association at the organization’s Annual Induction Ceremony. The event, held at the Brooklyn Bar Association’s historic headquarters at 123 Remsen Street in Brooklyn, drew a packed house of judges, attorneys, colleagues, and members of the New York legal community who gathered to celebrate the installation of new leadership.
The ceremony marked not only a milestone for Daniel personally, but a significant moment for Antonelli & Antonelli and for the Brooklyn legal community it has served for decades.
The Induction Ceremony
The June 9 induction was a formal, celebratory affair befitting the occasion. New officers and a new class of trustees were sworn in alongside Daniel, continuing the Brooklyn Bar Association’s tradition of welcoming incoming leadership with ceremony and community. The evening was emceed by prominent New York attorney Arthur Aidala, whose presence added to the significance of the proceedings.
Daniel was sworn in by the Honorable Nancy Sunshine, Kings County Clerk and Commissioner of Jurors, a distinction that underscored the occasion’s stature within the Brooklyn legal community. Several attorneys spoke on Daniel’s behalf prior to the induction, offering personal and professional tributes to a career defined by dedication to clients, colleagues, and the bar.
The room was full. The atmosphere was one of genuine celebration — a reflection of the respect Daniel has earned over the course of a career that has unfolded almost entirely within the Brooklyn legal community.
A Career of Service to the Brooklyn Bar Association
Daniel’s ascension to the presidency of the Brooklyn Bar Association is the culmination of more than a decade of active and recognized service to the organization. He first joined the Brooklyn Bar in 2009 and quickly distinguished himself through his involvement in committees and his commitment to the association’s membership.
In 2013, he was appointed Chair of the Young Lawyers Section by then-President Andrew Fallek, a role in which he worked to expand membership, develop continuing legal education programs, and connect younger attorneys with the mentorship and resources necessary to build successful careers. The following year, he received the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Brooklyn legal community.
In 2015, he was elected to the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Board of Trustees and formally installed as Trustee at the organization’s annual meeting. He later served as Treasurer of the association before being elected to the presidency — a progression that reflects both his sustained engagement with the bar and the confidence his peers have placed in his leadership.
