The Brooklyn Bar Association recently hosted its 2026 Annual Judiciary Night at its historic headquarters at 123 Remsen Street in Brooklyn — and Antonelli & Antonelli was proud to be part of this celebrated tradition. The evening brought together members of the bench and bar to recognize and welcome more than 30 newly elected and appointed judges serving Kings County courts.

Connecting the Bench and the BarAntonelli & Antonelli Brooklyn Bar Association Judiciary Night 2026

Judiciary Night is one of the most meaningful events in the Brooklyn legal calendar, providing an invaluable opportunity for attorneys and judges to connect outside of the courthouse. As incoming Brooklyn Bar Association President, Daniel R. Antonelli was among the featured voices of the evening, speaking to the importance of the bench and bar building relationships that ultimately serve their clients and the broader community.

“Even if you’re not necessarily on the same side, even if it’s with your adversary, you have to have a good relationship in order for it to function. If an attorney has an emergency application, if they know who to talk to, they could make sure that they get that done for their client. It’s really a give and take.”

Honoring More Than 30 Newly Elected and Appointed Judges

More than 30 newly elected and appointed judges were honored across six categories — including Housing Court, Supreme Civil Court, and Supreme Criminal Court — a testament to the depth of talent joining Brooklyn’s judiciary.

Judge Edwards captured the spirit of the evening well, noting that social spaces like Judiciary Night give both attorneys and judges the chance to engage candidly as the law continues to evolve. “It’s important for the bench and the bar to get together and get to know each other outside of the courthouse,” she said. “We need to build on each other. The law is changing. A lot is happening, and we need to be able to have social spaces to just be candid with each other about whatever is going on.”
