FEMA has created a program to assist with funeral expenses for those who have died from COVID-19 related causes. Reimbursement is available for funeral services, internment, and cremation.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible, the deceased must have died in the United States; the death certificate must indicate that the death was attributed to COVID-19; and the applicant (the person who paid for the funeral expenses) must be a US citizen, non-citizen national, or qualified alien. There is no requirement that the deceased was a US citizen, non-citizen national, or qualified alien.
The funeral expense must have been incurred after January 20, 2020.

Applications must be made by phone. No online applications are available.
