Famed singer, Janis Joplin, executed a Last Will & Testament shortly before died of a drug overdose in 1970. The majority of the will is fairly normal but tucked away in the middle is a clause authorizing Joplin’s executor to spend several thousand dollars on a gathering of friends to express her appreciation and a final farewell.

It is rumored that the will went into more detail providing for an all-night party for several hundred guests at Joplin’s favorite bar in San Anselmo, California so “my friends can get blasted after I’m gone.”
